Indukuri Syam Prasad Reddy is the Chairman & Managing Director of Indu Projects Limited, one of the fastest growing private sector engineering construction companies in India.

Born on 28th January 1959 in Gudur in Nellore district from where he did his schooling upto Class XII, he joined JNTU Engineering College, Ananthapur to study Civil Engineering from 1976-81. Subsequently, he joined his father Mr. Indukuri Venku Reddy (IVR) at Warangal where he managed small civil contracts.

In 1985, he expanded his business to other states like MP, Bihar, Karnataka before incorporating IVRCL in 1987. In spite of stiff competition, he rose to the challenge and successfully charted a course of growth and prosperity to make IVRCL one of the leading construction companies in India within a span of fourteen years.

In 2001, he branched out and started Indu Projects Limited, an end-to-end solutions provider in Infrastructure and Real Estate headquartered in Hyderabad with operations spread across the country.

Syam Prasad Reddy’s contribution in the area of real estate and construction is immense. He has brought in professionalism to an otherwise unorganized industry and has actively contributed through forums such as TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) and FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry).

For the knowledge and the vision Syam Prasad Reddy brings along, the Indian School of Business bestowed the honour of inviting him to join their Executive Board in 2008.

Syam Prasad Reddy is actively involved in various charitable initiatives and is closely associated with Akshaya Patra Foundation, an NGO that provides mid-day meals to students of economically backward communities in association with ISKCON. He is a member of AADI Foundation (Ananthpur District Initiative), an NGO that helps create employment opportunities among the rural youth.

He has also adopted a zilla parishad school in Gudur (from where he did his schooling) that will be provided with better infrastructure facilities and also improve the quality of education. He is particularly keen to improve and contribute in the areas of Education and Training.

Very recently, he has been instrumental in establishing The Indu Foundation; a non-profit organization that will primarily focus on health, education and environment and help in creating sustainable livelihood to the rural poor through skill upgradation. The Foundation will also contribute towards spiritual and cultural upliftment of the society.

CEO - Infrastructure Projects

Mr. B V Bhaskar Reddy has over 21 years of extensive experience in handling highly complex projects related to core and urban infrastructure like irrigation, water supply, power, multi-tier road and highway systems, integrated residential townships, advanced IT parks and others.

He is responsible for devising business development strategies, forging strategic alliances, establishing high level contacts in the industry and overseeing the overall business development operations of the company. He has been instrumental in the growth of Indu Group.

Mr. Bhaskar Reddy has an MBA in General Management and Marketing. He has earlier worked with IVRCL as General Manager, handling varied projects related to irrigation, water supply and power.

Independent Director

Mr. Prasad holds a Masters Degree in Science and Business Administration and started his career in 1984 as a Management Trainee in Indian Molasses Company. Mr. Prasad worked for Rhone Poulenc Chemicals (now Sanofi-Aventis) and grew in the industry to become the Managing Director of Vorin Laboratories in 1995.

In May 2000, Mr. Prasad turned an entrepreneur by acquiring a local ailing Pharmaceutical Company, Herren Drugs and turned it around in a very short span. The same company was renamed as Matrix Laboratories Limited in March 2001.

With proven skills in terms of identifying the underperforming assets and putting them into best use with strong management inputs for quick turn around, Mr. Prasad is the driving force behind the successful implementation of M&A strategy and global business.

He was instrumental in signing the milestone agreement with the Clinton HIV/Aids Initiative (CHAI). Nimmagadda Foundation, the NGO set up by Mr. Prasad in his personal capacity is not only taking-up social initiatives but also supporting associations, reputed organizations and social enterprises that take-up causes like health care, education and providing drinking water.

Philanthropy and the entrepreneurial spirit go hand in hand with Mr. Prasad. He is a sports fan and loves music.

Independent Director

Mr. R.C. Sinha is one of the most respected and sought after bureaucrat who has made a strong mark in the infrastructure development of India. An IAS officer of 1962 batch, he has been associated with several infrastructure projects, notable among them being the construction of 55 flyovers in Maharashtra including the landmark Mumbai Pune Expressway; a project that he headed as Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Maharashtra State Road Development Corpn. Ltd. (MSRDC).

Subsequently, he had also served as Director General, National Academy of Construction (N.A.C.), Hyderabad in the capacity of in the rank of Special Chief Secretary to Government of A.P.

Mr. Sinha holds an M.A. in economics from University and an L.L.B Degree from Delhi University. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Urban Development from London University.

Currently, he is working as Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of Maharashtra Airport Development Co. Ltd, a Government of Maharashtra undertaking.

Independent Director

Mr. Jakkampudi Adiseshaiah Chowdary has been associated with Information Technology for well over two decades now. JA, as he is popularly known, is often considered one of the chief architects of the Information Technology industry in India.

Mr. Chowdary is credited with developing the IT industry in the states of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu in his capacity as the development Commissioner & Chairman of the Board of STPI, Hyderabad and Chennai. He was one of the prime movers in the setting up of the Hi-Tech City and has also played a major role in founding the IIIT at Hyderabad. As a member of the IT Task Force set up by the then Chief Minister of A.P for implementing IT for the government, Mr. Chowdary ensured a healthy growth of the industry in the state.

Presently with NVIDIA Graphics Private Limited, Hyderabad as its Managing Director, Mr. Chowdary also contributed to several reputed organizations like the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), the Corporate Research & Development wing of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Department of Electronics, Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) and Metamor Enterprises Solutions (India).

Independent Director

An officer of the Indian Administrative Service, with 39 years of experience in public service in areas of rural and agriculture development, water resources, public finance and institution building. Ms. Radha Singh was serving as Union Agriculture Secretary till November, 2006.

She was responsible for formulation and implementation of Agriculture Policy, having been involved in strengthening and building resilience in this sector, through specific targeted initiatives.

Prior to to this, Ms. Singh has held high level policy and managerial positions in the Government of India. These included charges of Secretary in the Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries; Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Water Resources, positions in Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance; and district and local government positions.

Ms. Singh has also served with the World Bank in Washington, U.S.A. as an Institutional Specialist and in other capacities for six years from 1992-1998.

Nominee Director

Mr. Yadav is Managing Director with Citibank Venture Capital International, Mauritius. A Rhodes Scholar from Oxford, he has over 20 years of Banking experience. He has earlier worked with Merrill Lynch (Dubai), Deutsche (India) and Prudential (New York).

Chief Operating Officer - Corporate Services

Sanjay Prabhakar Moharir has over 29 years of experience in the field of construction. Prior to joining Indu, he was associated with Gammon India Ltd as ‘Chief Executive – Water Pipelines’ in Sultanate of Oman.

He has also worked with IVRCL Infrastructure and Projects Limited in various capacities, where he served his last assignment as Regional Head. Prior to IVRCL he has worked with Maharashtra State Electricity Board in the Project Construction Wing.

Some of the key responsibilities handled by him include development of integrated and effective approach to designing, constructing and delivering projects, identification of future projects for acquisition, and driving the planning & approval process of the construction SBU of the company.

Chief Operating Officer - Real Estate

Shrawan Kumar has 17 years of experience in building state-of-the-art IT Parks, Convention Centres, Hotels, Golf Courses and Integrated Townships. He also brings in his extensive experience in the construction of heavy civil engineering projects like Tunnels, Roads and Barrages.

Prior to joining Indu, he has worked with leading names in the construction industry like Hindustan Construction Co, Ascendas India Pvt. Ltd and Emaar Properties. His last assignment was with Emaar Properties, as Assistant-Vice President, where his responsibilities included development of all properties of Emaar in Hyderabad. Some of the prestigious projects that he handled in the past include Ascendas IT Park, Novotel Hotel, Hyderabad International Convention Center and the 18 Hole Golf Course.

Shrawan holds a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technology University. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Construction Management from NICMAR.

Chief Operating Officer - Buildings, Road & Special Projects

Venugopal has over 21 years of experience in various sectors and has handled different types of projects in irrigation, hydrocarbon, industrial, road projects and others with various Indian and multinational organizations like Government of Karnataka, Toyo Engineering India Ltd. (a subsidiary of Toyo Japan), UE Development India Pvt. Ltd. (a subsidiary of UEM Malaysia) and other major organizations.

He has a strong expertise in EPC contracts and Project Management. He also has intensive experience in executing and managing multidisciplinary projects up to the commissioning stage within set time frames. Some of the projects in which he was involved include Mangalore Refinery Phase I and II, Indian Oil Petronas LPG Import-Export Facility at Haldia, Sira-Chitradurga highway project, and Tambaram-Tindivanam highway project of NHAI.

Executive Vice President – Business Development

Mr. K.Kesava Reddy, graduated in Civil Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University and has over 26 years of rich experience in Core Infrastructure Projects like Highways, Dams, canal distributory systems, water supply and Public Health Engineering Projects.

He was with M/s GMR Infrastructure Limited as Vice President – Construction for Highway projects, M/s Louis Berger International Incorporation Limited (USA) as Resident Engineer for World Bank Aided projects like development of National Highways & Rural roads in Andhra Pradesh, he also executed the largest lift irrigation project (Mulwad Lift Irrigation Scheme) to irrigate 500000 acres in association with M/s G.H.Reddy Associates.

Chief Operating Officer - SEZs and Corporate Planning

Raghava is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from College of Engineering, Kakinada and has over 24 years’ experience in the areas of Strategic Planning, Operations, Profit Accountability, Corporate Governance, Organizational Transformation and Growth through effective Change Management in the Oil & Gas sector. His key responsibilities include designing business processes to ensure long-term growth and sustainable business practices.
